Norman, I'm thinking it was an issue with the shop's humidor that I bought it from. I'm going to have to pick another up from a different place or let it rest in mine for a longer period of time. I am usually a Maduro kind of guy and I think I have had the edge light once. The edge Maduro is my standby :)

Sorry for your troubles.....have had several ITC robustos.....my favorite....those that I have had were nice smokes...very little trouble ...very smooth with a little pepper...nice blue smoke...no burn problems...would suggest you give another one a try....have you tried the edge lites?

Jaime, the light is the most important thing in keeping your burn consistent. You always want to have a good start! I'm going to make a video one of these days to help people out but for now just try to make it as even as possible to start and read the tips in the Cigar School section on how to fix an uneven burn.

I'm still such a noob. I don't notice things like uneven burning. Maybe it's because I'm not that confident in my lighting skills, so I just assume it's my fault when it doesn't burn evenly. I also need to pay better attention to how the cigar's attributes change during the smoke itself.

I had one of these at a Rocky Patel event at a cigar shop in town. It was a solid smoke, but it didn't blow me away. My experience was that the last 1/3 tasted the best. It really did deepen to a nice mellow flavor.

How was the Decade you had the other night? I have one in the humidor waiting for me.
